Swimming Pool of Lisbon Sports Club in Belas
Descriptive Memory
Intervention type: Remodeling of Public Swimming Pool
This project consisted on the remodeling of a public swimming pool that exists since 1964.
The evolution of construction techniques, materials endurance and above all the norms and safety rules made this project a typical example of remodeling.
The old lining was replaced with reinforced PVC Lining and the old access staircases were replaced by stainless steel ladders.
The old waterfall with the Club symbol as well as the jumping trampoline were kept for a matter of history and tradition.
The foot washer that surrounded the entire pool was eliminated and paved. The border in regional calcareous stone with 0.50 m was also maintained.
